Under the diversification scheme of AICTE,an offshoot to Mechanical Engg.,Production & Industrial Engineering branch was introduced.Production & Industrial Engineering is a non-conventional discipline in which special emphasis is laid on subjects related to manufacturing industry. During the three years course,students of this branch study the subject like Production Planning & Control,CNC Machines,Inspection & Quality Control,Tool design,Press Tool & Gauge Design,Industrial Engineering,Automobile Engineering,Production Technology etc.Students are also given practical training on various modern machines like CNC Turning & CNC Milling Machine etc.
Students of this branch undergo industrial training in various industries at the end of 2nd,3rd,4th & 5th semester.The pass out students are easily absorbed in various industries.
